Interesting and useful approach, but if you have ever accidentally broken the glass lens while trying to remove the grille, you quickly discover it is quite costly to replace. Another approach that gets around that issue is to simply use one or two LED panel lights in the opening where the glass would normally go. As an example see https://twosortoftechguys.wordpress.com/2019/04/1.. but understand that this same approach could possibly be used with other makes and models of bathroom fans - you just have to pick the correct size LED panel lights to fit in the opening on the grille. In some cases that may require trimming a little plastic or alternately using something to fill in a gap (such as auto body filler, perhaps) but if you are lucky one or two LED panel lights will fit almost perfectly in the opening, and the panel lights are far less expensive than trying to find and purchase an obsolete glass lens.
Actually these same tricks (either the one shown in the Instructable or an LED panel light) would probably also work to upgrade to LED and/or replace a broken glass in other obsolete types of lighting, for example in the square recessed fixtures that were popular over doorways in homes around half a century ago. Of course with those fixtures you have the advantage that they used a fairly flat piece of glass, so it would not be so expensive or difficult to find or make a replacement, so the method shown in the Instructable would actually probably work a lot better in those fixtures than in a bathroom fan reflector where space is a bit tighter.

I have a Panasonic FV-11VQL4 WhisperLite 110 CFM Ceiling Mounted Fan/Light Combination bathroom exhaust fan that is about 7 years old and the light is flickering. Checked all connections, new lamps, etc. I assume the problem is the internal ballast. This is the older model with 2 18w CFL.
